Remembrance Day

11th November marks the anniversary of the Armistice which brought an end to The Great War of 1914 – 1918. November is a significant month for the RSL and includes Remembrance Day commemorations and our Poppy Appeal.

Remembrance Day 2021 was Thursday 11th November and commemorations in metropolitan and country areas were still conducted under SA Covid-19 requirements .

2021 Adelaide Commemoration

The Adelaide Remembrance Day service was conducted with a predominantly veterans audience attending, as requested to assist with Covid-19 management requirements.

Details were not made public, with the intent to ensure that attendance by veterans received priority. Family members and the public were asked to consider attending metropolitan commemorations or remember and reflect at home. RSL SA thanks the public for their understanding and compliance.

RSL thanks the City of Adelaide, SA Police, Australian Defence Force, SA Government, St John Ambulance and supporting organisations for the assistance they provide to Remembrance Day commemorations.
